POLAROID CAMERA

Polaroid camera or better known as “instant camera” the camera is a model that can process their own photos on the camera body after the shooting. Polaroid camera uses a special film called Polaroid film. Polaroid film that can produce color images called polacolor film. Historically, Polaroid cameras or camera images at once so this is designed for the first time by Dr. Edwin Land of Polaroid company and marked since 1947. Polaroid name that actually is a trademark, like people calling all the names Pepsodent toothpaste, or a person calledby the name of Honda motorcycles.

Polaroid film is a film that was discovered by Edwin Land. Produce images in a short time (in minutes), but don't have the negative. The first shots using Polaroid cameras made by Dr Edwind Land in 1944, while the first shots in the face of this earth (with the existing cameras at the time) made by Niepce Niceephore who photographedbarn in her backyard in France in 1826.

Fenomena Halo Matahari

Fenomena cincin pelangi matahari muncul selama sekitar dua jam di langit Yogyakarta, Selasa (4/1/2010). Fenomena alam unik ini terjadi karena pembelokan cahaya matahari oleh partikel uap air di atmosfer.

Prof. Dr. Sudibyakto, M.S., pengamat iklim UGM, menyampaikan fenomena halo matahari adalah fenomena yang biasa terjadi. Fenomena ini tidak ada kaitannya dengan peristiwa bencana alam, seperti gempa bumi.
Halo yang terlihat melingkar matahari  merupakan hasil pembelokan cahaya matahari oleh partikel uap air di atmosfer. Halo terbentuk karena dispersi butir-butir es atau air pada awan sirrus oleh sinar ultraviolet.

Lebih lanjut dikatakan Sudibyakto, pada saat musim hujan, partikel uap air ada yang naik hingga tinggi sekali di atmosfer. Partikel air memiliki kemampuan untuk membelokkan atau membiaskan cahaya matahari. Karena terjadi pada siang hari saat posisi matahari sedang tegak lurus terhadap bumi, cahaya yang dibelokkan juga lebih kecil. "Itu sebabnya yang tampak di mata masyarakat yang kebetulan menyaksikannya adalah lingkaran gelap di sekeliling matahari,” terangnya.
